A free online career assessment is available through the Department of Labor called the O*Net Interest Profiler. A link at the bottom of the page will be provided to access the assessment. This assessment will ask you questions about work tasks that you would like to perform. After you answer all the questions, the test will ask you about the amount of career training you want for the ideal vocation. Next, the exam will show you three career areas where you score highest. The results will correspond to the three career types. If you click on the links for the specific jobs, then it will take you to a page that goes into detail about that career.
